PDF to Pages App Reviews
I had a 28 page file originally created in Publisher on Dell laptop which is slowly dying. I was desperate to find a way to convert this file so I could edit it on my Mac. This app did the trick. All I did was print the Publisher file to PDF, and this software converted the PDF to a Pages file! It kept the graphics which was the huge issue. It’s not 100% perfect ~ some text that was centered needed to be re-centered, and some of the text ends up in separate boxes, but some of that is because of the way the orginal was constructed. You may have some clean up, but let me tell you, I saved DAYS not having to recreate this file from scratch!
Every pdf document I converted crashed Pages when I tried to open it. The app tells you that the pdfs were successfully converted but they seem to be totally unusable. Complete waste of time and money.
Wondershare PDF to Pages
PDF to Pages is easy to use and converts accurately. Thank you Wondershare Software
It doesn6t work!
The pdf file was just pasted in pages without converse! i want my money back!
I purchased the application “PDF to Pages”. I have asked Apple for a refund of the purchase price. I have also notified Apple that the way in which “Wondershare Software Co., Ltd” is labeling and marketing the product is at best duplicitous. The stated service provided by the App “Converts PDF to Pages quickly and preserves the original text, images, layouts, hyperlinks, tables, and graphics with high accuracy. After conversion, you can easily edit or reuse the PDF content in other applications.”, and it does not! The statement could be true if you were inclined to pay more money to purchase additional Apps sold by the company. However, after 1-purchase that induced the feeling of theft I would be stupid to attempt to correct the problem by trusting the company’s assertions that with their “cutting-edge OCR technology” my need to edit PDF’s would solved. I have a high regard for Apple products. However, if Apple does not police its own App Store for Mac against unscrupulous companies with the intent of preventing theft from its customers then the brand will suffer. Think of this before you decide to make the purchase of this App., John Fuller (the customer who was robbed!)
This program does a good job of converting pdfs to pages docs. Have been using it for a few weeks with no problems, other than a minor formatting change here and there. Very fast. Simple interface. Given how hard it can be to edit pdfs normally, this is well worth the investment. Convert, make your changes, and put back in pdf form to share.
Doesn
Tried to convert a pdf study guide to pages and it resulted in a jumbled mess. Not worth the money.
I bought this to help with school, and I can’t even open the documents when they are converted. This is a real waste of money and should be pulled from the store.
It Keeps crashing
It keeps crashing when I try to open things in pages. Very frustrating!
Does not work.
After converting my PDF files to pages format I cannot even open them. I need a refund.
It is easy to use and does the job
I have found the app easy to use and does the conversion from pdf to pages quickly with no faults. Thank you
It worked.
I am nto very good with computers but I was able to work out how to use this app.
I edit a newsletter for my society and I had initially created it in a not-mainstream app. When that app suddenly started crashing with no support from the developer, I found myself unable to edit my newsletter, and time was running out. Lucky for me, I had a PDF version of the newsletter - but I couldn’t find a good program to edit it (other than Acrobat itself, which is clunky for this purpose). Then I found the PDF to Pages app, and it saved my life! The conversion is quick and painless; I’ve tested it several times with files that range from extremely graphics-intensive to mostly text. Highly recommend! Also, I generally don’t write reviews, but the pop-up reminder in this app was so cute that I had to. It says, “Would you like to rate us?” and the choices are “Rate App!” or “Cruelly Refuse.” LOL
I just purchased this app to work on a newsletter. I didn’t have the original document, so I needed to convert the pdf. It keeps the document true to form, as well as the colors, etc. It’s a little hinky when working in the written paragraphs. It saves them in little blocks. It’ really not that difficult to figure out once you get the hang of it.
This little app will do as advertised, but don’t expect it to keep the fonts the same as the original document. It also swaps some of the lines of text in a .pdf into multiple little boxes which makes them challenging to edit. Overall though it is a workaround app designed to do something that maybe wasn’t ever made to be edited.
